ACCESS TO FREE, QUALITY RESOURCES FOR EFFECTIVE EDUCATION


 LEARNING THROUGH ABA was started by Dr. Maria Relucio, a Social Justice Advocate and Educator, to formalize the initiatives she has engaged in and to promote access to effective education that she has advocated for, since 2013.  Free online resources are shared to support diverse learners in the school system.  

SUPPORTING DIVERSE LEARNERS

 Dr. Relucio continuously engages in the discourse, research and training in reference to Universal Design for Learning (UDL), Differentiated Instruction, Direct Instruction, Precision Teaching, Contextual Behavioural Science (CBS) & Functional Contextualism,  Verbal Behaviour (VB), and intensely utilize the Verbal Behaviour (VB) approach, stimulus equivalence, derived relational responding, Relational Frame Theory, Promoting Emergence of Advanced Knowledge (PEAK) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy/Training (ACT) approach, as tools for individualized instruction and differentiated teaching/learning.

This section offers free resources that introduce you to Behaviour Analysis or Behaviourism as a philosophy, and Applied Behaviour Analysis as an evidence-based applied science informed by Behaviourism. You can also refer to a glossary of important ABA terms relevant to teaching and learning. If you are a professional (an educator or a behaviour analyst), you may use the motivating operation short electronic book, four-term contingency (MO + ABC) chart, and the learner motivation survey to assist the families you serve and the learners you support.

HOW TO TEACH USING BEHAVIOUR ANALYSIS IN EDUCATION?

As an evidence-based applied science, ABA utilizes a variety of methods for supporting diverse learners to acquire a variety of skills.  These resources pertain to Behaviour Change Procedures such as prompting and shaping,  errorless learning, reinforcement,  random rotation Discrete Trial Teaching (DTT),  Natural Environment Training or Teaching (NET) and Task Analysis.
