Dr. Maria Relucio (She/Her, Elle) is a distinguished professional with extensive expertise across Behavioural Science, Philosophy, Education, AI Governance, and International Data Privacy Law.

With over two decades of teaching and research experience, Dr. Relucio holds a BA and MA in Philosophy, and MA in Education & a PhD in Social Justice Education from the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE) at the University of Toronto. Her multidisciplinary postgraduate training spans the Psychology of Mental Health and Well-being (PgDip, University of Wolverhampton, UK) and Applied Behaviour Analysis and Organizational Behaviour Management (Florida Institute of Technology, US), providing her with a unique lens on organizational dynamics and human behaviour. She is a Registered Behaviour Analyst and a member of the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts in Ontario (CPBAO), a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA), a Qualified Behaviour Analyst (QBA), and an International Behaviour Analyst (IBA). Specializing in Behaviour Analysis in Education, Organizational Behaviour Management (OBM), and Acceptance & Commitment Training (ACTr), Dr. Relucio serves as an APMG Accredited OBM Trainer, a member of the Association for Contextual Behavioural Science, and a member/observer of the United Nations (UN) Behavioural Science Working Group.  As a transformative leader, she drives high-impact consultancy initiatives and professional development at The Organizational Behaviour Management Academy while spearheading global outreach and strategic leadership for Global Learning Asia Incorporated.

In addition to her practice in behavioural science, Dr. Relucio brings deep expertise in legal frameworks, emerging technology governance, and data protection. Holding a Bachelor of Laws (LLB Hons) from the University of London (UK) and an LLM in International Law from the Université catholique de Louvain (Belgium), where her research examined legal challenges and practice solutions for Artificial Intelligence in International Investment Arbitration, she serves as a member of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives (CILEX, UK) and a member of The London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA). Her specialized legal and technology certifications include Certified AI Governance Professional (AIGP), Certified Artificial Intelligence Transformation Leader (CAITL), and Global Certified Information Privacy Professional credentials for Canada, Europe, and the US (CIPP/C, CIPP/E, CIPP/US) through the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP), with a primary focus on the complex regulatory frameworks governing the transborder flow of data and information. Dr. Relucio is a practitioner that provides global advisory services through Data-Tech Compliance Incorporated. 

A dedicated scholar and practitioner in human rights and global social justice, Dr. Relucio’s work centres on advancing accessibility, equity, diversity, and belonging. She is a recognized Fellow of the Institute of Equality and Diversity Professionals (FIEDP, UK) and a Certified Diversity Executive (CDE, US). Across her career, she has led data-driven program evaluations, designed performance metrics, and managed complex research and policy compliance frameworks. She continues to actively shape academic and professional disciplines as a Professor, Researcher, and Peer Reviewer for international academic journals, and as a volunteer advocate across global legal and disability rights organizations.
